Brain Noise....crackin' it open for the first time!

Hey Friends,
I want to thank you for taking the time to peep into my head and look at the Brain Noise blog. I'm not a prefessional blogger, just a guy who wants share thoughts and ask a few cultural, political, religious and whatever comes up kind of questions that can open eyes to the rest of the world's views. This blog is not designed to be a soap box, but more of a place to listen and consider more about our world and each other's lives. Don't take it too seriously. Please, no bomb threats, okay?! :-)

I'm always game to jump into discussions and share thoughts about many topics. I encourage anyone who reads here to post a topic and let us all sit at the round table and crack it open, so to speak.

Okay, I'll start ......................

Today is December 2nd, 2010 and lately I have been within earshot, and text-shot, and tweets of a very interesting debate on one of the most common things in our lives at this time of year....Santa Claus!

How do you feel about Santa Claus? Seriously! What part does he play in your world at this time of year?

Some say that Santa is an idol. Some say that Santa is not a part of Christmas for their family. Some say He is not the reason for Christmas, but rather a symbol of the giving spirit at Christmastime.

What say you?

  1. Well, this is what I believe. I believe that Santa Clause gives children dreams and a hope of a fantasy that shouldn't be broken, at least until they reach the age of accountability. Accordingly to their age and maturity.
I also believe at that time of them reaching the age of accountability that Parents ought to teach their children about the Birth of Jesus, and how he is God's Son,and why he was sent to earth, to seek save and heal. And that if they ask him into their hearts, and forgive them of their sins, they will have eternal life.
And because of Jesus,This is the reason for the season. This is just my opinion. Thanks for asking.
